Established in 1984, the National Print Awards are today the biggest, and most prestigious class of print awards in the country. The award ceremony celebrates the craftsmanship and excellence of the Australian Print and Visual Communications industry. This year the awards are proudly sponsored by Ball & Doggett, Bőttcher and Spot Productions.
In true Wayzgoose style the 2018 National Print Awards will coincide with an Industry Golf Day and Summit. Originally Wayzgoose was an entertainment given by a master-printer to his workmen, the Wayzgoose marked the beginning of the season for working by candle-light. In later years the Wayzgoose evolved into an annual festivity held in summer by print employees. In keeping with industry tradition the National Print Awards be a day long event providing attendees an opportunity to network, learn and celebrate the year that has been, the year to come and the very best in print.
Andrew Macaulay, Printing Industries Association of Australia CEO says, “Members genuinely want to acknowledge, celebrate and promote the capability within the printing industry in Australia. As our tools and technologies continue to advance, so too does the quality we produce, and it deserves to be showcased.”
